Kitten Contract
Pingree’s Home Business, L.L.C. Adding a new pet to your home should (if possible) be a commitment for the life of your pet. The cat or kitten you are purchasing is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival or pick up. It is guaranteed for a period of 72 hours from the purchase or arrival. If for some reason you suspect illness during this time please have your pet vet checked. If an illness is found, I the seller, will reimburse you for your veterinary bills concerning this illness only. The maximum reimbursement amount will not exceed the amount you paid for your kitten or cat. You will need to get the diagnoses and itemized bill in writing from your vet in order to receive a reimbursement. If the cat or kitten is found to be medically deficient with an untreatable or life threatening problem it must be reported to the seller immediately. Your kitten will need to be taken to a vet to have this verified in writing. This kitten is guaranteed against hereditary health issues that are life threatening, for one year from purchase date. If there is a problem the cat will need to be vet checked and an extensive report will need to be written up about what is wrong with the cat. The cat, if necessary will be replaced by another cat or kitten of equal value, of the breeder’s choice, when one becomes available. The breeder is not responsible in any way for illnesses or accidents which may occur that the breeder could have no control over. It is recommended that you get your new pet vet checked and keep current on vaccinations. See health record if applicable. Annual visits to your vet and whenever your cat appears ill are also recommended. It is advisable to keep your new pet isolated from others for a week or two to help familiarize him with his new family and surroundings and to ensure the health of all your pets. Different veterinarians have different opinions on vaccinations. But generally your kitten needs shots at 12 weeks of age and at 16 weeks of age then an annual booster. If a kitten is given it’s first shot at 6 or 8 weeks it still needs additional shots at 12 and 16 weeks (check with your vet.) Only killed viruses are to be given to Bengals and there is no FIV or Feline immunodeficiency virus, Feline Leukemia or Leukemia, FIP or Feline infectious peritonitis vaccination to be given at all. If vaccination for FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, Feline Leukemia, Leukemia and or FIP, Feline infectious peritonitis is given contract is void. The shots given to these kittens typically include Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydia Psittaci Vaccines, all are killed viruses. Kittens should NOT be over traumatized meaning the multi vaccination shot should be given a week apart from the rabies shot and a week apart from wormers which you may choose to give. Fecal examines are usually negative for worms in my cattery, there for usually no wormers have been given. If worms have ever been detected in any cat or kitten in my cattery all of the cats and kittens will receive wormers; see health record if applicable. Each thing, including the spay or neuter operation should be spaced by at least a week in between. If various procedures are not spaced by at least one week it will void contract. The one week spacing between procedures will avoid over traumatization which can lead to illnesses or even death. Many things such as worms and Giardia can be completely avoided by not letting your kitten or cat outdoors. If this cat or kitten is purchased as a breeder and has not been able to reproduce within 2 years; a replacement cat or kitten of comparable quality will be given for the return of your vet checked, healthy, with no communicable diseases cat. This replacement will be made as a kitten or cat becomes available. This cat is only to be bred to another TICA registered Bengal. All offspring will be spayed or neutered before they are sold or at least TICA papers held back until proof of spay or neuter has been given to you, unless a breeders price has been paid and a contract printed up to limit an abundance of Bengal mixed kittens. If this cat or kitten is purchased as a breeder male, purchaser agrees not to use this cat for outside stud service. Purchaser must own a female TICA registered Bengal. This cat or kitten and the offspring, if applicable, are not to be put into pounds or pet shops. If you need to get rid of it or them, contact me first. All sales and deposits are final and non refundable. No cash refunds .This cat or kitten is to be kept in doors and not to be allowed to roam freely outdoors. This cat or kitten is being purchased for a Pet_______ Breeding________ Showing_______. If purchased as a pet prior to the kitten being spayed or neutered; purchaser agrees to neuter or spay this kitten by the age of 6 months and agrees and guarantees that this kitten WILL NOT be used for stud or breeding. If this kitten is purchased as a PET and not spayed/neutered by 6 months of age the buyer agrees to pay the seller an additional sum of $1500.00. If kitten is purchased as a pet prior to being spayed or neutered the TICA registration papers will be kept by seller and given to buyer upon seller receiving proof of spay or neuter papers. Some kittens or cats will already be spayed or neutered at time of purchase. In this case registration papers will be given along with the kitten at time of kitten pick up. By signing this contract I am giving my permission for the seller (Pingree’s home business, L.L.C.) to use any and all pictures of the kitten or cat I am purchasing (including any pictures I may send or give to them.) and any testimonial I may give about ownership of this kitten or cat on their website or in any form of advertising without any special recognition or monetary gain being given to me or the photographer. NO CASH REFUNDS. If you are only placing a deposit on a kitten at this time, it is also NON REFUNDABLE and by signing this contract you are agreeing to these terms. The only exception to this is if you give a deposit before the birth of the litter and there are no kittens born of the color and or sex you requested. Then and only then will your deposit be refunded if you request. Otherwise I will be happy to keep the deposit towards a future litter. Color_______________________ Sex__________.
